This easy homemade peach cobbler features a golden, buttery crust and a sweet, juicy peach filling. Serve it warm with ice cream for the perfect comforting dessert!

- 4 cups fresh or canned peaches (sliced)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine peaches with 1/2 cup granulated sugar and brown sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining sugar.
- Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until the batter is smooth.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the batter. Do not stir!
- Sprinkle with ground cinnamon if desired.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving warm.
Notes
- For a crispier topping, sprinkle coarse sugar on top before baking.
- Fresh peaches give the best flavor, but canned or frozen peaches work too.
- Serve with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or caramel drizzle for extra indulgence.
