Description

This easy homemade peach cobbler features a golden, buttery crust and a sweet, juicy peach filling. Serve it warm with ice cream for the perfect comforting dessert!


Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh or canned peaches (sliced)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine peaches with 1/2 cup granulated sugar and brown sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining sugar.
  • Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until the batter is smooth.
  • Pour the batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the batter. Do not stir!
  • Sprinkle with ground cinnamon if desired.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

  • For a crispier topping, sprinkle coarse sugar on top before baking.
  • Fresh peaches give the best flavor, but canned or frozen peaches work too.
  • Serve with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or caramel drizzle for extra indulgence.
